Seinfeld > Friends

So I have had this argument a hand full of time and thought I should break it down in this blog post. What is better Seinfeld or Friends? Hmmmm? Well to be honest Friends is just a chick flick version of Seinfeld. Lets think of the similarities. Friends is also: in NYC, Friends hang out all day, show the "hangout spot" and others.

Here's the thing. Seinfeld doesn't go for the cheap laughs a prototypical sitcom clings to like Friends. It isn't predictable where you could watch a new episode and predict every stupid joke that will be told from one of Friends "dumb" characters. Aka Phoebe or Joey....

Oh and isn't the Friends intro to the show cute? Yeah they're just playing in a waterfall casually just loving each others company as the music goes "i'll be there for youuuuu" awwwww..if I wanted to watch the Notebook I would of just asked to. Seinfeld doesn't waste time, they don't have any little intro to fill up time in their episode, all they do is dominate the competition like Friends.

It must of been pretty easy for Friends director David Cane to come up with episode ideas, all he had to do was tune in on Thursday nights for Seinfeld. Game set match Seineld=1......Friends-67

Seinfeld Reunion on Larry David's HBO show "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2009)

Many Seinfeld fans believe the season 9 finale was intended to create an opening or the cast if they ever wanted to come back and make more episodes. What many people don't know is that in a way the Seinfeld crew has already reunited to make a section of an episode in Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in November of 2009.

In this episode, David in present time was watching a current episode of Seinfeld. The episode lasted around 12 minutes inside of the 22min episode of the HBO show.

Here's is a clip from the episode...

Executive Producer of Seinfeld Larry David shown on screen or heard in over 40 episodes! Wait What??

Producer of the show "Seinfeld" Larry David was most known for his work behind the camera. I recently discovered youtube video's that showed all of the hidden places they had Larry David in many of the episodes. Even as a frequent Seinfeld viewer, I never realized many of the scenes.

Just goes to show that Seinfeld is on a different level then everything else. Plugging in their producer into episodes without anyone noticing-Genius!

Recognize the voice of the person playing George Steinbrenner? That would be Larry David.

A Show About Nothing= Genius

Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld teamed up in the 80's to create a pilot for what would be the best show television has ever seen. The show called "Seinfeld" a comedy, showed four friends in the 90's who lived in NYC in their day to day lives. The four interesting characters Jerry, Elaine, Kramer and George personified the "hang out" as they spent most of their time together relaxing at the local coffee shop. Their everyday problems mostly meaningless kept them busy each day from real life examples from Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld's lives.

Unlike most comedy sitcoms, Seinfeld didn't look to get cheap laughs. The show frequently used intelligent, dry humor jokes to get laughs from viewers changing what the typical "sitcom" was like.

Throughout the nine seasons of the show, ratings hit record numbers each year. The show was awarded numerous awards such as the Golden Globe Award, an Emmy Award and many others. Seinfeld's final episode of the show was viewed by 76 million people around the world. The 75 minute finale tied together all of the events that occurred in the previous nine seasons, leaving an opening for the show to potentially come back some day.

Greatness at its best ^^^
